Identifies the type of operation performed for a transaction.
| Id | Name | Explanation |

| 1 | Authorization | Reserves funds on the cardholder's account without capturing them. |
| 2 | Sale | Combines authorization and capture in a single request. |
| 3 | Capture | Completes a previously authorized transaction and captures the funds. |
| 4 | Void | Cancels an authorized or captured transaction before settlement. |
| 5 | Refund | Returns funds to the cardholder after a transaction has settled. |
| 6 | CardAuthentication | Verifies card details, for example, 3-D Secure, without moving funds. |
| 7 | RefundWORef | A refund issued without a reference to the original transaction. |
| 8 | TipAdjustment | Adjusts the captured amount to add a tip after the initial transaction. |
| 11 | AchDebit | Withdraws funds from a bank account from ACH. |
| 12 | AchRefund | Returns funds to a bank account from ACH. |
| 13 | AchHold | Places a hold on funds for a pending ACH transaction. |
| 14 | AchUnHold | Releases a hold placed on an ACH transaction. |
